8:30 a.m. Breakfast: cereals, bagels, cream cheese, donuts, tea, coffee, orange juice, etc.
9-10 a.m. History of NYC and its monuments
10-12 a.m. All English grammar done by reading passages about the city
12-1 p.m. NYC and its Poets, painters, sculptors and architects
1-2 p.m. Lunch
4-6 p.m. Conservatory gardens (an outdoor garden museum) and the Museum of the City of New York
6-7 p.m. Walk through Central Park and down 5th Ave. to the Metropolitan Museum
7-8 p.m. Coffee and New York Impressions at the Met’s Rooftop Café
EVENINGS
Jazz and classical music concerts , Shakespeare in the Park, Lincoln Center out of doors (music and contemporary dance festival), City Opera Summer Festival, Queens Museum Passport Fridays and much more…
One or two evenings a week, HSNY attends events all together.
Other evenings, students go out on their own and explore NYC, its cafés, clubs, concerts, theater, happenings, or stay at home to chat together or with the Humanities Spring in New York guest lecturers.
